Creating a service that helps SME's electrify in a seamless and transparant way

S O L U T I O N

We designed Electlfieet, a one-stop shop for all things electric, from charging points to E-Vans and from elecrificy contracts to subsidy process. We recruited SME's to talk about their problems with us, co-created propositions and made a selection of a winning proposition based on early market feedback. This proposition is now live in MVP!

Situation

NN is the largest Dutch insurance group, with over 6 billion customers in total. For over 90 years they've been providing people and businesses the insurance they need, from health to car and liability insurance. Lately, they've also positioned themselves as the partner of choice for insuring business continuity, providing services for SME's to be prepared for the future. A company with tradition and legacy, but eyes on the future.

Challenge

Because of imminent Zero Emission zones, this topic has become urgent. But for many business owners, it's a diffcult step to make, because of the complex purchasing proces and jungle of subsidies and calculations to make. We were asked to create a service that helps SME's electrify in a seamless and transparant way.

Quantifying An Emerging Market Opportunity

Many entrepreneurs are forced to go electric nowadays. We used interviewing to determine a problem owner and early adopter and extrapolated this information with hard data on sectors and markets to determine the size of the opportunity.

Zooming in on personas and their jobs to be done

Through interviewing with early adopters: painters, contructors, package delivery. We identified several painpoints and jobs to solve. Were they big enough to build a business on? Initial needfinding showed a positive answer.

Co-creating a winning service and business model

We used brainstorming to diverge on ideas to solve this problem for SME's. Over 100 ideas passed the radar, and we selected 3 winners. Through prototype selling, a way where propositions are demo-ed as if they were live, we selected a winner.

We made sure to not forget the sustainability factor, as this is more than logical for an EV proposition. Being a Triple P business is what brings extra value for the customers.
